Installed a brand new-ish battery in the Vic. The poor alternator is quite tired.
At least I get free parts for it though :D

Cleared P0158 again.
Light came back on again this morning. I thought to myself, "Two days, I may actually have to change it this time."

I brought it in to the shop at the end of the day and it wasn't P0158, but P2272 - B2S2 Stuck Lean. That's even worse. Or just different, but not in a good way.

So I put a hose on it and started it up to graph the O2s. Once it warmed up, both sensor 2s flattened out, but while I was Inspecting an Equinox for a really cute blonde, they started acting all . . . ummmm . . . not how I wanted them to.

Sensor 2s are both on the left, the offender is the lower one. Never got above .6V.

I don't like what this might say about my converters. Those should be flat, and between .6V and .8V.

I rewired that thingy again, put the plug that's not shorting to itself somehow in, and tried the other sensor that's been kicking around in my bag for eleven months.

I think this sensor's actually the bad one.

I mean, if it was actually minus degrees out, I probably would have zipped up my jacket.

Put it up and checked the brakes. Could not find a leak.

Removed my spare. It's flat.

Filled the trunk with tires.

I'll have to put air in my spare when I take it back there.

Put my snow tires on.

Checked my brakes, there are no leaks. Don't know why the fluid was low.

Finally took my tires out of my trunk and put the flat spare back in. Put the sandbags in, too.

Tried to reset the TPMS but my magnet wouldn't excite the sensors, so I'll do it at work - hopefully tomorrow. I hate having lights on, but not as much as I hate having the TPMS sensors in my wheels.

After it warmed up and I could open all the doors, doused the latches with WD40. This morning I could open them all, so I guess that worked?
Also discovered I have a fuel leak. Not sure exactly where from yet, tank, pump? Lines look good. Thought it was an axle seal, but nope, it's gas.

One of my boxes was leaking out the back of the master into the booster. Nothing visible externally.

Just got done smearing some special grease on all the door weatherstripping. Hopefully that'll prevent them from freezing shut.
